I have a Sears National Baby Contest cup that is dated 1934. Can you tell me about the contest?

Sears sponsored The National Baby Contest in conjunction with the 1934 Century of Progress World’s Fair in Chicago. All together, 114,364 babies were entered in the contest for a total prize purse of $40,000 – $5,000 cash and a $5,000 R. E. Wood College Education Policy went to the winning baby. The final selection was made by popular vote, with Marilyn Yvonne Miller of South Dakota receiving 24,000 votes. The cup you have was presented to one of the babies who received Honorable Mention. This prize included a small medal and a small silver cup. We do not have a list of the Honorable Mention winners.
