Q. I am seeking all information available for a Sears small farm tractor, model no. 917.5155 and serial no. 2024.

A. The Sears catalogs did not use model or serial numbers to identify merchandise. However, they often used portions of those numbers in the catalog number. Based on the information you provided, we believe we found your tractor on page 1193 of the fall 1940 Chicago edition catalog.
