Q. We recently moved into an old farmhouse and found a wood stove in one of the outbuildings. It was manufactured by Sears and is a “Golden Dawn” Design 173, no. 58. Can you tell me anything about it? A. We found that the “Golden Dawn” wood stove appeared in Sears general catalogs between 1928 and 1933, so your stove probably dates from this time.
