Q. I am doing a play that takes place in the 1920s, and I need some ideas on accessories from that period, particularly women’s handbags and purses. Do you have any catalog images or other sources to help me?

A. Look at pages 150–151 of the fall 1925 Chicago edition catalog. There are listings for handbags in many styles, from formal beaded bags to everyday leather and cloth bags.
