RETAIL

Full-Line Stores - 845 full-line stores, averaging 86,000 selling square feet, located primarily in the best malls in the nation and offering:

  • Softgoods - A complete selection of fashionable, quality apparel and accessories for the whole family, plus cosmetics, fine jewelry and home fashions, at value prices; includes leading national brands as well as exclusive Sears brands such as Canyon River Blues, Fieldmaster, Crossroads and Circle of Beauty.
  • Hardgoods - A full assortment of appliances, electronics and home improvement products and services; includes major national brands as well as exclusive Sears brands such as Kenmore, Craftsman, WeatherBeater and DieHard.

Specialty Stores - More than 2,000 specialty stores, located primarily in free-standing, off-the-mall locations or high-traffic neighborhood shopping centers.
  • Hardware Stores - 265 neighborhood hardware stores under the Sears Hardware and Orchard Supply Hardware names, averaging 20,000 to 40,000 selling square feet, that carry Craftsman tools, a wide assortment of national brands and other home repair products.
  • Dealer Stores - 653 locally-owned stores, averaging 5,000 selling square feet, that offer appliances, electronics, lawn and garden merchandise, hardware and automobile batteries in smaller communities and carry exclusive Sears brands such as Craftsman, Kenmore and DieHard.
  • The Great Indoors - A prototype store for home decorating and remodeling, with more than 100,000 selling square feet, dedicated to the four main rooms of the house: kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and great room.
  • Automotive Stores - 789 Sears Auto Centers and 347 NTB National Tire & Battery stores that offer tires, DieHard and other brands of batteries, and related services.

SERVICES

  • Home Services - Product repair services as well as parts for all major brands of home products, no matter who made them or sold them, through a network of 14,000 installation service technicians; service contracts, which provide annual maintenance checks as well as repair and replacement coverage; and home improvement services, including residential heating and cooling systems, siding, roofing, replacement windows, pest control and carpet cleaning.
  • Sears Direct - Various goods and services, such as merchandise, insurance and club memberships, marketed to customers through a variety of channels, including 17 specialty catalogs, telemarketing, direct mail and the Internet.

CREDIT

Sears Credit - Consumer credit for nearly 60 million customer households through Sears Card, the largest proprietary credit card in the retail industry, with 30 million active accounts.

INTERNATIONAL

Sears Canada - A majority-owned subsidiary with 109 full-line and 125 specialty stores offering retail, services and credit products similar to those offered in Sears domestic operations.
